STORYBOOK is a painting inspired by long summer days spent reading and exploring outdoors. Beneath the trailing branches of a willow tree, children wade through a lily-covered river while one girl sits on the riverbank absorbed in a book. Nearby, a mermaid emerges from the water, perhaps part of the story she is reading, or perhaps a image of a child's imagination.
Filled with water lilies, wildflowers and sunlight dancing across the river, the painting blurs the boundary between the natural world and the worlds we discover through books.
This giclée print is printed on archival cotton paper for rich colours and long-lasting quality. The museum-grade Hahnemühle paper is designed to resist fading and yellowing over time.
