OMA is a painting inspired by visits to Grandma's house. Beneath the flowering chestnut tree, children play among the garden paths while their mother rests with the baby in the sunshine. Inside the cottage, Grandma prepares tea and washes freshly picked strawberries, and whips up cream to serve in the garden.
The painting celebrates the special role grandparents often play in family life. The extra pair of hands, the tea always hot, and the never ending supply of biscuits!
