This painting is inspired by memories of visiting my grandparents as a child. Their thatched cottage was surrounded by woods and fields, and it felt like our own little world. Horses grazed in the meadow, the dogs followed us everywhere and every day was a new adventure.
Filled with horses, country lanes, flower gardens and countryside views, the painting brings together many of the details I remember from those summers. There were always jobs to help with, from feeding horses to carrying buckets and helping around the property, but there was also plenty of time left for playing and exploring.
A beautiful addition to a nursery, bedroom or living space for those who enjoy country life, horses and paintings inspired by childhood memories.
